 WELCOME!

to the website of
Anderson Christian Art!

Paintings on this page give a brief overview of artist Kathleen Anderson.

Byzanine Iconography is the ultimate in Christian imagery. The "A.C.ART Icons" link to the left shows more of the icons by Kathleen. The icon below is of Genesis 28:10-13, which tells an amazing story in visual language of Jacob and his dream of angels going up and down a ladder to heaven, and of the LORD appearing to him. Written in the Iconographic form of traditional Christianity, Icon writing is scripture in images. Kathleen continues to be involved in this ultimate combination of the Christian religion and visual imagery, truly theology in pictures.

The below image was commissioned in 2003 by an elderly man with a devotion to a Bible verse, Luke 23:39-43. How profound: the passage of a man condemned to death with JESUS as he asks for forgiveness and is promised a place in heaven! Legend has named this man as Dismas, and he is canonized a saint by the Catholic Church.

DIVINE MERCY

Painted after the vision of St. Faustina of Poland who received visits from CHRIST JESUS in the first half of the 20th century. Almost 2'x3' including a lovely gold frame, this hand-painted acrylic image is for sale. Check the "Divine Mercy Image" page for details. Quality print copies and cards are also available.  Commission requests are also accepted.

The spiral imagery was inspired by www.Hubblesite.org. Several of the images on this site were the forms which create the 30"x30" mixed media painting. "Profundity of Life" is like a prayer of gratitude for even the most difficult of days. This painting is for sale, and is shown on the gallery page.

The above image is one of Kathleen's digitally altered photographs. She altered the rose image by using Adobe Photoshop CS2. This image is called "New Rose".
