THE VATICAN
Official Vatican website ~ "phome_en.htm" is the site in English (delete this suffix if other languages are desired). Excellent resource of documents, library, archives, cannonized folks, plus much more.

One of my favorite documents ~ the 1999 Letter to Artists from Pope John Paul II, who was, among many other things, a poet and dramatic actor.

The USCCB is an assembly of the Catholic Church hierarchy who work together to unify, coordinate, promote, and carry on Catholic activities in the United States; to organize and conduct religious, charitable, and social welfare work at home and abroad; to aid in education; and to care for immigrants. The bishops themselves constitute the membership of the Conference and are served by a staff of over 350 lay people, priests, deacons, and religious.

BIBLE STUDY
Fr. Jim Nisbet presents the Bible as a book of visions which opens new understanding for all.
Formal education: University of San Diego, University of St. Paul in Ottawa, and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
Fr. Jim draws on special resources which includes thirty trips to the Holy Land and familiarity with the Middle East; decades of immersion in the Bible several hours each day; and experience as a silkscreen artist. He presents the Scriptures in clear terms with factual information, and shares the meaning of each verse in practical language. He brings Bible texts to life as he makes places, customs and historical events very real, and their significance modern. As he shares his deep faith he helps listeners grow in their own.
Teaching Scripture is Fr. Jim Nisbet's favorite ministry both at home  and abroad. As pastor of St. Joseph's Parish in Spreckels, California, Fr. Jim has taught parishioners, prisoners, seminarians, university students, travelers, and retreat participants. A much requested speaker, he has brought his Scriptural insights, factual information, and humor to workshops and conferences on four continents.

THEOLOGY
He is currently a Professor of Theology and Scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990, and is the founder and director of the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In 2005, he was appointed as the Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Scott Hahn was born in 1957, has been married to Kimberly since 1979, and has six children. An exceptionally popular speaker, author and teacher, Dr. Hahn has delivered numerous talks nationally and internationally on a wide variety of topics talks related to Scripture and the Catholic faith. Hundreds of these talks have been produced on audio and videotapes by St. Joseph Communications. His talks have been effective in helping thousands of Protestants and fallen away Catholics to (re)embrace the Catholic faith.

CATHOLIC LIFE
http://www.catholicmom.com/
Excellent resource which celebrates Catholic motherhood.

www.CatholicBridge.com
Catholic Bridge, a site produced by David MacDonald, provides a wealth of information for Evangelicals on the Catholic faith. As a musician in Christian Contemporary Music who had previously been on Broadway and in the US National Tour of "Cats", many of his listeners are Evangelical, and through this site he seeks to provide answers to many of their various doubts and questions. The site is divided into topical questions with further specific issues addressed in each section. While a number of sites contain these fundamental answers, Catholic Bridge provides a clear and simple explanation which is easily understood by those outside of the faith. The site also includes samples of David's CD's and a his testimonies including a powerful witness of his experience with abortion.

BIBLE, THEOLOGY, LITURGY, AND ARTS
Excellent site of biblical, liturgical, artistic, and theological resources. "This website contains a variety of materials, mostly related to biblical and liturgical studies, intended for scholars, teachers, students, pastors, believers, seekers, and others." Site of Fr. Felix Just, S.J., Ph.D., of the Loyola Institute for Spirituality.

http://www.HolyFamilyNow.com/
Founded by Catholic Recording Artist Michael John Poirier, Holy Family Now! is where Catholic families come together for encouragement and renewal, to share and discuss and to grow in their call to holiness. Singing publicly since the age of 14, Michael pursued a career in pop music for several years before God's gentle nudging to return to prayer became a burning desire to put his “gut” prayers to music. Michael has spent the past twenty years spreading the message of God's infinite love and timeless mercy, recording thirteen CD’s and offering parish missions and concerts, often centered on Eucharistic Adoration.
